ABOUT Casa Lü
Established in 2017, Casa Lü is a place where you can take temporary refuge to concentrate on your artistic practice. The aim of our program is for residents to focus on the production of their work while creating a network and dialogue within emerging artists from all over the world. The participants live and work in Casa Lü. While working on their personal projects they are encouraged to visit Mexico City's dynamic art scene. We provide a list of recommendations for museums, galleries and other local attractions. Casa Lü is located in the south part of the city, somewhere between the trendy neighborhoods of Roma and Condesa and the picturesque and peaceful neighborhoods of San Ángel and Coyoacán. We are close to the beautiful and lush 'Parque Hundido' park that has great running paths and artistic reproductions of precolombian stone work. The neighborhood is mainly residential, but it also has some restaurants, cafés and shops. The proximity to metro and metrobús lines makes it easy to move around the city and to the nearby art supplies stores. This residency program is ideal for artists who wish to be part of Mexico City’s dynamic art scene, not only by visiting museums and galleries but also openings and other events.
