Cassidy Fritts received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2017. Her work fuses surrealism and realism with the subject matter of portraits, the human figure, and text to discuss and analyze personal identity, mental health, introspection, existentialism, and interpersonal connections. Fritts sees these topics as important and necessary to publicly discuss as she believes they have direct ties to how individuals exist within and create community. She has exhibited work throughout Texas in solo and group exhibits, has created public artwork and murals throughout Texas, and has amplified her interests in creative youth and community development via her professional positions and community work. She currently is a member of the City of San Antonio’s Public Art Committee and is the Community Mural & Public Art Coordinator for San Anto Cultural Arts.
